One Real World founding member of the Houston Interactive Marketing Association

HOUSTON (January 10, 2006) - Newly formed Houston Interactive Marketing Association (HiMA) will hold its first educational event featuring Geoffrey Ramsey, founder and CEO of eMarketer on January 26, 2006. An industry leading analyst, Geoff will discuss the Stats, Strategies and Trends in online marketing and advertising. The event will take place from 7:30 to 9am at the Houston Technology Center located at 410 Pierce Street, Houston, 77002.

HiMA events are designed to increase awareness, education and utilization of interactive marketing and to bolster the growth of online media as an advertising tool.

"We are excited to be Houston's first organization dedicated to promoting awareness and adoption of web-based marketing," said Steve Latham, CEO of Spur Digital and Chairman of HiMA. "Our mission is to help Houston companies better utilize the Internet as a medium for growing their business and building their brand."

HiMA was launched with support and assistance from Houston's leading companies, ad agencies and Web design firms, including One Real World. "The Houston IMA will offer Houston's interactive marketing community a place to network, share and learn about proven leading-edge interactive strategies and tactics," said Manuel Delgado, CEO of One Real World and HiMA's Chair of Programming. "It will also be a source of talent for companies looking to execute successful internet marketing intiatives."

In addition to periodic educational and networking events, HiMA provides access to interactive marketing resources for members and non-members alike, keeping up-to-date with current trends in the interactive marketing industry.
